大浦光信といえば鰺ヶ沢を代表する戦国武将である、というか、鰺ヶ沢を代表する戦国武将ってぇのは大浦光信しかいない、っていうか、大浦光信は後の津軽藩の礎となった人物なので、鰺ヶ沢代表ってよりも、青森代表って言うべきじゃね？オレ？
とか、そんな右脳と左脳が対立して脳内物議を醸す人物、大浦光信の銅像が、種里城址に立っているのだが。
この像は等身大であり、結構高い台座の上に据え付けられているので、通常は見上げることしかできず、絶対こんなアングルで見ることはできないのである。
ましてや、絶対に絶対に絶対にこんなアングルで見ることはできないのである。
目下、修復作業に向けて周囲に足場が組まれているために、いつもと違ったアングルでお会いした次第。
なお、足場には担当各位からの許可を頂戴した上でのぼらせていただいております（敬語！）
まじまじと同じ目線で対峙してみた光信公。
とはいえ、実は大浦光信の肖像は残されていないという話を聞いたことがある。
この像は、津軽家末裔のある方の姿をもとにして創作された…という話だった…気がする。
